Uba Sani marks 55 with gifts for orphans and hospital patients

A state governor celebrated his birthday by handing out food and cash to orphans. Kaduna's Governor Uba Sani, turning 55, used his foundation to visit seven orphanages and eight public hospitals across Kaduna and Zaria. The Uba Sani Foundation's executive director, Mallam Ibrahim Dan-Halilu, distributed millions in supplies like rice, spaghetti, oil, and blankets to places including Umm Aytam Orphanage and Al-Ihsan Orphanage.

The group also gave money directly to over 200 patients at facilities like Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital to help cover medicine and tests. Dan-Halilu said the goal was to make the new year brighter for vulnerable people, urging other wealthy citizens to follow the governor's example. Beneficiaries thanked him with prayers for his health and service.

The foundation itself, started in 2018, focuses on health, education, and skills training, having provided thousands with scholarships and medical support.
