Ufenau, Schwenkow set €100M European entertainment plan

Ufenau Capital Partners and Peter Schwenkow launched a European live entertainment consolidation platform. This Swiss private equity firm commits up to EUR €100 million, targeting mid-sized promoters while preserving individual company identities and operational autonomy across acquired businesses.

Schwenkow leads strategic development, leveraging four decades of DEAG founding experience plus 60+ past acquisitions. Grandezza Entertainment GmbH joins the group later through his shareholding contribution, continuing under current leadership alongside producer Thomas Schütte from Circus Roncalli.

Fragmented markets with founder-owned operators present buy-and-build opportunities spanning marketing, ticketing, and proprietary content development. Ufenau brings capital plus integration expertise while Schwenkow contributes industry networks built by promoting Rolling Stones shows and developing venues like Berlin's Waldbühne over 40+ years.

DEAG recently hit a record €490 million in revenue, with EBITDA doubling to €32.1 million before Schwenkow transitioned out. His new venture arrives as KKR acquired Superstruct for $1.4 billion, signaling sustained private equity appetite for scalable family entertainment assets across German-speaking Europe and beyond.
