Uganda opens business hub in the UAE

Uganda opened a trade support office in the United Arab Emirates to help exporters reach Gulf customers. Ambassador Kibedi Zaake announced the facility on Tuesday at Speke Resort Munyonyo as government officials met with Emirati investors to discuss commercial partnerships. The center assists small businesses with product standards, market research, and distribution networks.

Commerce between the nations climbed from 600 million dollars in 2018 to 2.85 billion dollars last year. The UAE directs 3.5 billion dollars in foreign investment toward Ugandan energy projects and agricultural ventures. Six daily flights connect Entebbe and Dubai as the Ugandan population in Emirates territory reached 160,000 residents who send 350 million dollars home annually.
