The national exam board is warning schools about scammers. Uganda National Examinations Board, or UNEB, says people pretending to be on its security committee are targeting head teachers and school directors. These fraudsters are asking for cash, promising they can bump up student grades or get a school off the suspected cheating list.
UNEB's main spokesperson, Jennifer Kalule Musamba, made it clear the board has nothing to do with this racket. They are telling everyone to report anyone making these shady offers. The public can use specific toll-free numbers to tip off the police or contact the board directly. UNEB also promises whistleblower protection for anyone who comes forward with good information about the con artists. The official notice basically says do not fall for it, and definitely do not pay these guys.
