Universal Audio updates Elysia and SPL plug-ins with TMT tech

Universal Audio released software version 11.8.2 featuring revamped editions of two mastering processors originally manufactured by Elysia and SPL. The updated alpha compressor and Vitalizer Mk3-T incorporate Brainworx Tolerance Modeling Technology to more accurately replicate component variations found in hardware units, while enhanced transient handling and additional mixing controls distinguish these versions from their predecessors.

The alpha compressor refresh adds automated gain compensation and scalable graphics alongside mid-side processing and parallel blending capabilities. The Vitalizer update offers tube and solid-state circuit emulations with frequency-specific enhancement controls and similar workflow additions. Both processors support Windows and macOS platforms through VST3, AU and AAX formats.

Launch promotions reduce the alpha compressor to 49 dollars from its standard 150-dollar price, with existing users paying 19 dollars for the upgrade. The Vitalizer carries a 79-dollar introductory rate versus its typical 100-dollar cost, while current owners face a 24-dollar upgrade fee.
