Army Leaders Build Science Labs for School in Gulu.
Ten army leaders who work in Uganda's Parliament gave a special gift to students at Gulu Army School. They built brand-new science rooms where kids can learn about Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. These leaders spent 204 million shillings to make these rooms perfect for learning science.
Minister Huda Oleru came to open the new science rooms. She was very happy because these rooms would help both army children and other kids from nearby areas learn better. She liked that army engineers built everything, which saved money and showed they cared about their country.
General Henry Matsiko spoke for the army leaders who gave this gift. He said President Museveni taught them to work together and help others instead of thinking only about themselves. The army runs many schools all over Uganda, and most students who study there come from regular families, not just army families.
The school's head teacher, Major Tumukunde, was very excited about the new science rooms. He said his school has more than 2,000 students who will use these rooms to learn about science. He also mentioned the school needs more things like a library and more classrooms to help students learn even better.
Many important people came to see the new science rooms, including church leaders and city officials. The local member of Parliament even gave the school a big water tank that can hold 10,000 liters of water. Everyone agreed that these new science rooms will improve the school and help students learn more about science.
