UTM president calls on Chakwera to concede the general election

Opposition leader Dalitso Kabambe wants President Chakwera to admit he will lose the September elections. The UTM party chief posted his demand on Facebook for everyone to read. Kabambe thinks ruling parties can lose power and should accept when voters reject them. He believes Chakwera must prepare for a peaceful exit from office. The former bank governor says it's time for Malawi to move forward under new leadership.

A recent survey shows 89 percent of people think the country heads toward disaster. Kabambe blames the terrible economic situation for this negative mood among citizens. He points to rising violence, widespread corruption, and government pride as major problems. The politician argues that voters will refuse to give Chakwera another five years. He calls the current president a leader who sees nothing and does nothing important.

Kabambe became UTM president last November and has grand plans for farming. His agricultural program promises to spend 500 billion kwacha every year on crops and food processing. The economist wants to transform basic farming into a modern technology-driven business. Smart farming methods would help farmers grow more food and make better money. Advanced seeds and digital tools would boost production across the nation.

The plan focuses on adding value to raw crops through processing facilities. Kabambe wants to build factories that make tomato paste, cooking oil, and fruit juices locally. These industries would create thousands of jobs for young people and women. He sees agriculture as the key to making Malawi wealthy and independent.
