Valhalla DSP has announced the release of ValhallaFutureVerb, a new audio plugin offering both reverb and echo effects. The company stated that the instrument was the result of eight years of research, focusing on creating highly transparent and realistic algorithmic reverberations. It features eight original reverb modes designed to emulate real-world acoustic spaces and three tailored for large ambient environments.
The plugin also includes a powerful echo section with twelve distinct modes. This section is intended to add color and character to the reverb sounds, allowing users to create everything from clean predelays to surrealistic textures. The Echo Mode control changes the active algorithm and adjusts the visible parameters accordingly.
ValhallaFutureVerb provides additional control over the sound's tonality through its Color mode. This function switches between different equalization and high-frequency decay profiles, ranging from bright to dark. The company emphasized that all reverb algorithms were built to sound high-quality even without using modulation.
