Vijayendra challenges Rahul Gandhi's poll fraud claims in heated Bengaluru exchange

Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra challenged Rahul Gandhi's accusations regarding the Election Commission's manipulation during Friday's press interactions in Bengaluru. The MLA questioned how Congress secured 136 legislative seats and formed the state government if central authorities had compromised electoral integrity. Vijayendra criticized statements from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar as threats to democratic institutions. He demanded public apologies from both leaders while characterizing their rhetoric as reminiscent of Emergency-era mentalities. The BJP official suggested Congress present evidence before the Supreme Court rather than attacking constitutional bodies.

Vijayendra celebrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's milestone of 4,078 days in office, marking the second-longest tenure after Jawaharlal Nehru. He praised Modi's third-term leadership as exemplifying national service through honest governance and developmental achievements. The Karnataka politician emphasized that Modi earned his position through merit rather than sympathy votes. Vijayendra predicted continued leadership under Modi's guidance for future national progress. He expressed pride on behalf of Karnataka residents regarding this historic accomplishment.
