Actor Vikram Prabhu just revealed he bulked up by ten kilos for his new role. He stars alongside debutant L K Akshay Kumar in the upcoming film Sirai, directed by Suresh Rajakumari. Prabhu plays a seasoned police officer, a part he says demanded more maturity and physical presence than his previous cop roles. The story, inspired by real events, came from director Tamizh, who convinced a hesitant Prabhu to take the part after narrating the concept.
The movie is a production of Seven Screen Studios, owned by S S Lalit Kumar. It features a crew with serious credentials, including music by Justin Prabhakaran and editing by Philomin Raj. Filming occurred in locations like Chennai and Vellore, with a planned release set for late December.
