Vineet Kumar urges rooted films at FICCI Frames 2025

Actor Vineet Kumar Singh underscored the value of authentic, culturally rooted storytelling in Indian cinema at FICCI Frames 2025. The Jaat actor said that while trends shift quickly, narratives drawn from India’s language, heritage, and heartland leave a deeper impact on audiences. He urged filmmakers to focus on their backgrounds rather than imitate popular formulas, adding that authenticity creates lasting connections.

Singh explained that India’s diversity, reflected in its anthem, holds endless inspiration through its music, food, and traditions. He cited Rabindranath Tagore’s Geetanjali as proof that stories told in one’s native language can gain universal recognition. Singh warned that creativity must not be driven only by money, emphasizing that India’s spiritual and cultural essence should guide the stories shared with the world.
