Vishal’s Vande quip, Prahlad shrugs it off

Director Prahlad Kakkar weighed in after composer Vishal Dadlani roasted Parliament for spending ten hours debating Vande Mataram while dodging actual problems like unemployment and inflation. Kakkar told reporters that politicians gonna politic, and symbolic controversies are just part of the leadership game.

Dadlani had pointed out that the discussion burned through taxpayer money at around 2.5 lakh rupees per minute without addressing healthcare, education, or economic issues. His sarcastic take suggested governance and citizen welfare matter more than forcing patriotic slogans on everyone.

The whole situation highlighted ongoing tension between cultural nationalism and constitutional freedoms, with some people backing Dadlani's free-expression angle and others accusing him of disrespecting national symbols.
