Zimbabwe Moves Forward with Vision 2030 Plan.
HARARE, Zimbabwe - The government of Zimbabwe is making progress on its Vision 2030 plan. The goal is to make Zimbabwe a richer country by 2030.
Mashonaland East province shows how the plan is working. The government is building important things there, including the Chivhu and Muchekeranwa dams and the Mahusekwa District Hospital.
Dr. Jenfan Muswere is a government minister. He said the Chivhu Dam will help the economy grow, bring more tourism, and provide water for farms and businesses. Over 70 families are already using the dam to water their crops.
Dr. Muswere said the dam will help make Zimbabwe an "upper middle-income society." That means people will have more money. He said it's important for local farmers to have water so they can grow more food.
Aplonia Munzverengwi is another government minister. She said the dam and a new water treatment plant will give more water to people in Chivhu. The town had a water shortage before. She wants the water tanks to be built quickly.
Tatenda Mavetera, an information technology minister, thanked Zimbabwe's president. She said his leadership helped people in Chikomba West. Many different people in the community worked on the dam project.
The progress in Mashonaland East shows that Vision 2030 is happening. The government is working to make Zimbabwe a better place to live by building important things that help people.
