VSL released the Synchron Harpsichord virtual tool

Vienna Symphonic Library just dropped a detailed virtual double-manual harpsichord captured at their own Stage B to bring authentic 18th-century French pluck into modern productions.

Synchron Harpsichord release
  • Instrument recreates the François-Etienne Blanchet style built by Neupert.
  • Each stop and combination across both manuals got sampled separately.
  • Lute stop delivers the shortened pizzicato-like decay with leather damping.
  • Multiple repetitions per note kill the machine-gun effect in fast runs.
Mechanical and mic details
  • Release samples capture every plectrum and jack return noise.
  • A multi-microphone setup offers close, mid, and main Decca Tree perspectives.
  • Synchron Player adds optional velocity mapping and real-time stop changes.
  • Standard library sits at one hundred twenty-five dollars on the intro offer.
Full library pricing
  • The complete version costs two hundred five dollars during the launch window.
  • Intro pricing runs through the end of April twenty twenty six.
  • Plugin works in VST3, AU, and AAX inside the free Vienna Synchron Player.
