Wamiqa lands Dharma role, childhood dream done

Actress Wamiqa Gabbi called working with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions a surreal, full-circle moment. She said growing up on films from that studio shaped her entire view of cinema. She feels pure joy and nostalgia as she joins that world.

Her last project was the fantasy comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf with Rajkummar Rao. Up next is the sequel Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, directed by Mudassar Aziz for a Holi release. She also has several other films lined up.

One major project is Bhooth Bangla, a Priyadarshan film reuniting Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The cast includes Tabu and Mithila Palkar. Produced by Balaji Telefilms and Cape of Good Films, it is scheduled for release in early April.
