Wanderers lock in champs, eye seven-peat

A soccer club's board member just promised seven straight titles after locking down their star players. The Mighty Wanderers, fresh off winning the TNM Super League and ending an eight-year drought, have secured key contributors with new deals. Midfielders Mphatso Kamanga and Dan Kudomto are now signed through 2028, while Golden Boot winner Isaac Kaliati stays until 2027. Defender Emmanuel Nyirenda, whose deal was set to expire, added an extra year to his contract.

Wanderers board director David Kanyenda issued a blunt warning to their main rivals, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers, upon the team's return to Lilongwe. He declared the Nomads would defend their championship for the next seven seasons straight, telling the other clubs to abandon any hope of taking the title back. Kanyenda claimed the team would keep constructing a roster so powerful that no other club could compete, aiming to establish a long-term dynasty in Malawian football.
