War vets chief wants Mnangagwa out with shutdown

War veterans leader Blessed Runesu Geza wants Zimbabweans to shut down the country on April 22-23. He demands that President Mnangagwa step down because of growing problems with politics and money in Zimbabwe. Geza speaks for military friends who support Vice-President Chiwenga instead of the president. He claims Mnangagwa steals money and tries to stay in power longer than the laws allow.

Geza talked to people online and asked them to join peaceful protests across all parts of Zimbabwe. He called these protests necessary because leaders have failed the country and stolen its future. Police are watching carefully as more people plan to join these protests. The government acts like nothing will happen, but officials seem worried because they put more police in cities.

Many unhappy war veterans, people without jobs, and government workers listen to Geza because prices keep going up, and life becomes harder. Geza used to be important in the ruling party until they kicked him out. He hides from police who want to arrest him but still talks to supporters online through secret groups. Political experts say these protests might change Zimbabwe as the ruling party splits apart after Mugabe lost power.
