Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 Patch 8.0 Adds Siege Mode, Ray Tracing, and More

Saber Interactive released Patch 8.0 for Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 today. The update brings Siege Mode as the major new feature for players. This mode extends the current Operations system with endless enemy attacks. Teams face waves of opponents across three different battle zones. Each area demands unique tactical approaches from players.

The timer system received significant changes from earlier test versions. Players receive time for entire sessions rather than individual waves. Completing each wave adds more time to the overall session. Enemy difficulty increases faster after wave fifteen. These adjustments help players survive through skill instead of rushing against time limits.

PC users gain access to experimental ray traced ambient occlusion features. NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation works fully on GeForce RTX 50 cards. The technology delivers improved visuals and faster performance rates. Players can toggle the new graphics options through game settings. Technical improvements enhance the overall gaming experience.

Future updates will expand character customization systems significantly. Players will reuse chapter champion armor pieces across different classes. The developers consider accuracy and technical limits for these changes. Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 has sold over seven million copies worldwide. Saber Interactive already confirmed development of Space Marine 3.
