Warner Music promotes Ahmed Nureni to lead MENA

Warner Music MENA taps Ahmed Nureni as Managing Director. Ahmad Alghawanmeh joins from Sony to handle commercial growth in the Middle East and North Africa region for the label giant.

Nureni takes charge of vision and corporate development strategy. He reports to Guillermo Gonzalez, who leads Warner Music EMEA operations globally. Alghawanmeh answers directly to Nureni while driving market expansion efforts.

The duo aims to make Warner the top choice for artists. Qanawat Music was fully integrated into ADA distribution services recently. This move created a powerful engine for independent label support across markets.

Operations span UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Morocco currently. A joint venture with Merwas launched a Gulf record label last year. Strategic investments in HuManagement talent agency also boosted regional presence significantly.

Alghawanmeh brings deep digital experience from Universal and Sony. He started at UMG in 2013 before moving to Sony in 2018. His rise through digital sales roles adds sharp commercial instincts to the team.

Gonzalez praised Nureni for building strong regional foundations over years. Simon Robson leaves after thirty years while Alejandro Duque takes international presidency. These shifts position Warner for continued momentum in fast-growing markets.

MENA recorded music revenues jumped fifteen point two percent last year. Streaming accounts for nearly all income in the region now. Latin America grew faster, but MENA remains a global powerhouse for digital consumption.

Tamer Hosny signed with Warner, highlighting their artist acquisition success. The label combines global resources with local expertise effectively. Arab creatives gain an empowering home for commercial and artistic development together.
