WeBuyCars appoints Dr Wynand Beukes as deputy CEO to drive growth

WeBuyCars elevated Wynand Beukes to deputy chief executive while retaining his digital leadership responsibilities as the South African vehicle marketplace prepares for regional expansion and artificial intelligence integration. The executive has directed technological development since joining the Transaction Capital subsidiary, constructing a valuation platform that processes more than one million monthly assessments and reducing transaction completion periods.

The automotive trader recorded 31 percent growth in core profits, reaching R302 million during the initial 2025 semester alongside revenue gains exceeding R13 billion. Beukes will collaborate with CEO Faan van der Walt on consumer financing initiatives and potential operations throughout the southern African territories. The organization operates more than 80 locations following its Johannesburg Stock Exchange debut and technology investments totaling R150 million.
