The publication claimed he planned to escape to Kenya because activist Blessed Geza wants him arrested over corruption allegations related to the US$15 million Gwanda Solar Power Project.
ZimEye went as far as saying his children received new Kenyan names - his son supposedly became Jubilant Pkalya Longurasia, and his daughter Victoria Chepoghisio Longurasia. Chivayo responded with sarcasm on X, formerly Twitter, calling the report "very stupid" and accusing the outlet of running out of lies to tell.
