Witcher 3 mod gets wind, armor upgrades ahead of rumored DLC

The Witcher 3 just refuses to die thanks to dedicated modders and wild developer rumors. Halk Hogan showed off his second preview for the HDRP NextGen Edition 2026 project. He revealed that static items will finally react to wind physics while characters get full reworks. Geralt and Roach receive better gear textures when this update drops later this year.

That release window aligns perfectly with gossip about CD Projekt RED secretly cooking up fresh DLC. Chatter suggests they might launch an expansion a full decade after Blood and Wine. This content reportedly connects the current title to the future fourth installment.

Leakers indicated the team holds interest in the Eastern lands of Zerrikania. Some believe the Northern areas of Kovir and Poviss stand as alternate options for the setting.

Gamers who cannot wait for those drops can download the existing visual upgrade immediately. Just remember the file weighs in at a hefty 12GB.
