A 31-year-old woman from Epworth faces attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife, causing severe abdominal injuries. Tafadzwa Mandaza attacked Abraham Chirivhayo at their residence after arguing about selling property to pay off debt, prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi told the court.
Mandaza remains in custody and must apply for bail through the High Court. Her next court appearance is scheduled for November 12. The couple leads Johanne Masowe Yenguwotsvuku, an apostolic sect church that operates from their home. Chirivhayo sustained injuries that left his intestines exposed from the stabbing.
