A Beitbridge woman had her Toyota Hilux GD6 stolen at gunpoint outside a funeral home. Three armed men approached her and her two sisters as they returned to the vehicle after making burial arrangements for a relative. The suspects, described as medium built, with one wearing a purple shirt, demanded the keys while pointing a pistol.
The woman and her sisters complied, exiting the white twin cab with registration HKY 460 L. The thieves drove off with the vehicle, which contained a handbag holding a driver's license, vehicle papers, a Samsung phone, and three thousand rand. Police spokesperson Inspector Chiratidzo Dube confirmed the carjacking occurred in the evening and that an investigation is ongoing. The stolen truck is registered to a South African national.
