Africa faces significant workforce preparation challenges, as over one million young people enter the employment market each month. The informal economy absorbs approximately 86 percent of available positions, according to World Bank research. Weak connections between education and industry create barriers alongside inadequate foundational training and fragmented systems. Technical and vocational education programs require alignment with market demands to support economic development. Representatives from more than 20 African nations will attend discussions on artificial intelligence, digitalization, and the impacts of climate adaptation.
