Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 Debuts with Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 and Bigger Battery

Xiaomi launched the MIX Flip 2 foldable phone with major internal upgrades. The device uses Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Elite processor. This chip features custom Oryon cores rather than standard Arm designs for better performance. Buyers can choose between 12GB and 16GB of memory options. Storage configurations range from 256GB up to 1TB capacity.

The phone maintains the same 6.86-inch foldable screen design from the first model. The OLED display operates at 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. Engineers increased the battery capacity to 5165mAh from the previous 4780mAh. This larger battery surpasses Samsung Galaxy Z Flip phones at 4000mAh and Motorola Razr devices at 4700mAh. Fast charging supports 67 watts through cables and 50 watts wirelessly.

Camera systems remain unchanged with dual 50-megapixel rear sensors. The interior selfie camera captures photos at 32 megapixels. Xiaomi set the starting price at 5999 yuan or approximately 870 dollars for the base model. Premium versions with more storage cost around 1000 dollars. The company has not revealed international launch plans but may expand globally like the original MIX Flip did for European markets.
