Xiaomi bragged about their new XRING 01 chip scoring over three million points on AnTuTu tests. The company showed these big numbers during their product launch event. A reviewer named S.White decided to check if these claims were real. The actual test results came back much lower at 2,613,424 points. This meant Xiaomi's numbers were 13 percent higher than reality.
The XRING 01 lost against chips from other companies on the same benchmark. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite hit 2,954,535 points during testing. MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 also easily beat Xiaomi's processor. All three chips are made using the same factory process from TSMC. Heat during testing probably caused the weaker performance numbers.
Different phones have different cooling systems that affect speed. The XRING 01 appears inside the Xiaomi 15S Pro phone and Pad 7 Ultra tablet. Ambient temperature makes processors run slower during benchmark tests. More independent reviews will show how this chip really works. Better cooling might help the XRING 01 perform closer to Xiaomi's original claims.
