Yamal shines as Barcelona battle to wild draw at Brugge

Barcelona salvaged a 3-3 draw against Club Brugge after trailing three separate times during their Champions League encounter, with Lamine Yamal delivering a brilliant equalizer before the Belgian side nearly stole victory in stoppage time. Romeo Vermant appeared to score the winner after dispossessing goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, but video review ruled the goal out for a foul.

Club Brugge struck first during the sixth minute when Nicolo Tresoldi converted Carlos Forbs' pass across the box. Ferran Torres responded almost immediately by finishing Fermin Lopez's delivery. Forbs restored the Belgian advantage by slotting home after Christos Tzolis set him up. Barcelona rattled the frame three times through shots from Fermin Lopez, Jules Kounde, and Eric Garcia before Yamal produced individual magic. The teenager beat multiple defenders and combined with Dani Olmo before scoring. Forbs then completed his brace by chipping over Szczesny following Hans Vanaken's pass.

Referee Anthony Taylor initially awarded Club Brugge a penalty for Alex Balde's challenge on Forbs, but video officials reversed the decision. Barcelona capitalized when Tzolis headed Yamal's cross into his net for the final equalizer. Szczesny escaped punishment late after losing possession to Vermant because video review determined a foul had occurred.
