Ye meets with rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, expresses remorse

Ye has publicly apologized for antisemitic statements he made previously, acknowledging responsibility during a video conversation with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto. The artist attributed his past inflammatory comments to bipolar disorder but emphasized that his mental health condition does not excuse the harm caused.

During the meeting, Ye compared his situation to returning home after a child has created chaos throughout the house, stating that accountability remains his burden regardless of circumstances. He described the apology as an initial step toward rebuilding trust and repairing damaged relationships.

His earlier remarks included claims about Jewish control over Black voices and suggestions of Jewish dominance in media industries. Those statements triggered widespread condemnation and resulted in the termination of multiple corporate partnerships and business arrangements.
