Yogi hits Hazratganj to sell GST cuts and swadeshi pitch

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath campaigned for GST reforms during a Wednesday visit to Lucknow's Hazratganj marketplace. The leader engaged directly with local business owners and shoppers while promoting government tax changes. He handed out informational materials about recent GST modifications to market participants. Traders received requests to transfer tax reduction benefits directly to their customers. The chief minister also encouraged businesses to favor domestic products over foreign alternatives.

Educational supplies like notebooks and pencils received complete GST exemptions under the new policy framework. Household necessities moved into zero percent or five percent tax categories for consumer relief. Medical authorities exempted thirty-three essential medicines from all GST obligations. Adityanath explained that reduced taxation stimulates market consumption and increases manufacturing output. Higher production levels create employment opportunities for young people across the state.

Tax collection data shows significant growth since GST implementation began. National revenues expanded from seven lakh crore rupees to twenty-two lakh crore rupees annually. Uttar Pradesh collections jumped from forty-nine thousand crore rupees to over one lakh fifteen thousand crore rupees during this period.
