Young innovators urged to lead Malawi’s digital future at ICTAM conference

Vice President Jane Ansah urged information technology practitioners to maintain professional standards while developing digital infrastructure that expands access for citizens across Malawi during an annual gathering in Mangochi. The conference brought together specialists and policymakers under a theme centered on artificial intelligence applications for sustainable advancement.

National Bank of Malawi Corporate Banking Division head William Chatsala announced the institution allocated K75.5 million toward the Innovation Jam initiative and professional association activities, stating the bank seeks to transform concepts into commercial products through support for financial technology platforms and enterprise systems. ICTAM President Clarence Gama praised corporate involvement while emphasizing the organization's commitment to bridging technology gaps between urban centers and rural areas.
