Your T Mobile App Is Secretly Recording You

T-Mobile created the T-Life app to make customer experiences easier for phone users. The company secretly records iPhone screens when people use this application. T-Mobile made this change without telling customers about the new feature. Many users feel angry about the hidden recording capability. The wireless carrier claims the recording stays inside the app only.

T-Mobile representatives say they record activities to fix problems faster for customers. The company promises it cannot see personal information during these recordings. Customer payment details and smart home data remain visible during app usage. CNET reported that users complained about privacy violations from this feature. T-Mobile staff members say customers can disable the recording if they want.

The wireless company suffered multiple data breaches that exposed millions of customer records. T-Mobile employees earn a ten-dollar bonus for each person who downloads the T-Life app. Workers face problems if they cannot meet download targets for the application. Customers can turn off screen recording through the app settings menu. The feature stays active unless users manually disable it through five different steps.
