Yuki Tsunoda's F1 future in doubt after Singapore failure

Yuki Tsunoda will start from 15th position on the grid after the Racing Bulls driver failed to advance past the second qualifying session on Saturday at the Singapore Grand Prix. The Japanese racer escaped elimination from the opening segment, but he posted the slowest time among 15 competitors on Q2 at Marina Bay Circuit. Tsunoda reached the final qualifying round at the previous two races in Italy and Azerbaijan, but the street track presented different challenges for the 24-year-old driver.

The setback follows Tsunoda's sixth-place finish in Baku three weeks ago, marking his best result of the season. The tight layout in Singapore offers limited overtaking opportunities, and Tsunoda faces difficult prospects for scoring points on Sunday. The Racing Bulls driver must navigate through traffic from his mid-grid starting position while he seeks to strengthen his Formula 1 future with a strong performance under the lights.
