Zaliha Mustafa supercharges budget 2026 for KL Putrajaya Labuan trips

Federal authorities prepare Budget 2026 presentations scheduled for October 10 in Parliament with tourism development as a primary objective. Minister Zaliha Mustafa conducted discussions with Finance Ministry officials to outline territorial priorities for the upcoming fiscal year. The budget will focus on promoting activities across Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan to support the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 initiatives. Government agencies plan multiple programs to enhance the capital's visual appeal for international visitors. Tourism promotion efforts will concentrate particularly on advancing Labuan's recreational sector.

Parliament will receive the fourth Madani Budget, designed to strengthen economic foundations and improve citizen welfare. The fiscal plan continues to support three key economic pillars that enhance growth potential, improve living standards, and advance government reforms. The Federal Territories Sports Council organized a five-kilometer running event that attracted nearly 2,000 participants in Putrajaya. The athletic program promotes community health as part of the Bandar Chase initiative, transforming all three territories into Clean, Healthy, Advanced, Safe, and Eco-Friendly urban centers.
