Zanu PF Boss Drives Fortuner Sans Plates

A Zanu PF youth leader drives around Masvingo without proper vehicle documents. Emmanuel Mahachi owns a Toyota Fortuner that lacks number plates and insurance coverage. His wife operated the car when cameras captured the violation. Anti-sanctions stickers replaced the required legal plates and documentation. Party officials placed Zanu PF campaign materials where registration numbers should appear.

Traffic laws require all vehicles to display proper plates and current insurance. Mahachi admitted he avoids paying road taxes and insurance fees to government agencies. The politician became upset when reporters questioned him about the illegal activity. He claimed the vehicle belonged to someone else during the confrontation. Police and traffic authorities ignore violations committed by ruling party members.

Many cars travel Zimbabwe roads without required documentation because enforcement remains weak. Presidential spokesperson George Charamba warned that criminals use unmarked vehicles during robberies. The lack of proper identification makes solving crimes much harder for investigators. Political connections protect drivers from traffic penalties that ordinary citizens face. Vehicle registration violations have increased across the country as party activists copy this behavior.
