ZANU PF calls protests a cash grab

The ruling party, ZANU PF, claims that people planning protests on March 31 just want money from outside groups. Their spokesman, Farai Marapira, said these organizers care more about grabbing cash than helping Zimbabwe. He told reporters the protesters have fake concerns and only want to please foreign donors who fund them. Despite growing talk about the planned protests, ZANU PF keeps saying everything will run smoothly that day.

Security forces stand ready across the country as tension builds before the big day. War veteran Blessed Geza, nicknamed Bombshell, keeps calling for citizens to join together against the government. Yet ZANU PF acts unconcerned, saying nobody will disrupt normal activities. The party seems confident it can handle any trouble that might pop up from demonstrators.

Many critics say ZANU PF always blames outside money whenever people complain. One expert who asked to stay unnamed said the government feels scared about how many people feel unhappy. He pointed out that regular people struggle with sky-high prices, fewer freedoms, and terrible living costs. Calling them paid puppets does nothing to fix these real problems that make life hard.

Past protests ended badly when police used tear gas and bullets against crowds. The government might crack down hard again if large groups gather without permission. ZANU PF faces its troubles with different groups fighting over who will lead next. Street protests could make things worse for them at a bad time. If lots of angry citizens march despite warnings, the ruling party might regret brushing off public anger as nothing serious.
