President Emmerson Mnangagwa will open four economic projects in Mutare on Oct. 16 ahead of the 22nd ZANU PF National People's Conference. National Chairman Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri announced the president will commission a Mega Market milling facility, artificial intelligence silos at the Grain Marketing Board depot, a pharmaceutical warehouse, and lead tree planting near future provincial offices. The ruling party conference runs from October 13 through October 18, following Politburo sessions in Harare.
Muchinguri-Kashiri reported venue preparations reached 95 percent completion, with delegate accreditation at 85 percent. Conference organizers expect to raise $5 million through provincial contributions, which have exceeded the initial targets. Delegates will visit the Chimoio Liberation War Shrine in Mozambique on a rotating schedule. Security measures will be in place to prevent unauthorized entry following disruptions at last year's Bulawayo gathering.
