Zim legends lace up to boot out drugs

Former football legends participated in an anti-drug tournament Saturday at Old Hararians Sports Club. Veterans from Dynamos, Black Mambas and CAPS United teams played to promote awareness about substance abuse prevention. Brighton Ushendibaba, ZIFA Board Member for Development, organized the event to inspire young people. The tournament featured players aged 30 and above who demonstrated discipline and healthy living.

Multiple provinces sent participants to the PanJap Anti-Drug and Substance Abuse Tournament. Current football stars Knowledge Musona and his brother Walter attended to support the cause. Community leaders praised the initiative for giving retired players a platform while addressing drug problems affecting youth. Harare-based Mabhinya club won the championship through a penalty shootout victory.
