Zimbabwe National Army and Air Force mark instructor graduation

One hundred and ten military instructors from Zimbabwe's army and air force just finished their training at Jason Ziyaphapha Moyo Air Force Base in Chegutu. The soldiers completed tough courses that taught them how to handle weapons, march in formation, and run ceremonies. Fifty-three people passed the Squad Drill Course, thirty-five made it through Ceremonial Instruction training, and twenty-two completed Weapons Drill lessons. Air Vice Marshal Biltim Chingono watched over the graduation ceremony and handed out awards to the best students. He said these programs help create better leaders among junior and senior military staff.

The air force wants to make sure Zimbabwe stays safe and protected from threats. Chingono explained that having well-trained instructors means the military can do its job better. Air Commodore Ellen Chiweshe runs the base where the training happened. Leaders from Mashonaland West Provincial Joint Operations Command came to watch the ceremony. Other top military officials also attended the event to show their support for the new graduates and celebrate their hard work.
