Zimbabwean students are finally getting decent internet because the government just dropped a massive tech upgrade in the middle of nowhere. Ministers Tatenda Mavetera and Torerai Moyo visited JITI High School in Shamva to commission a containerised ICT hub packed with forty high-end computers. This setup runs on a 10KVA solar power system and utilizes Starlink connectivity to bypass local infrastructure failures. Ground Force Industrial spearheaded the project to push digital access into Mashonaland Central.
Officials claim this facility represents a long-term investment in rural learners who usually get left behind. Bringing modern tools to these areas supposedly bridges the gap between city kids and village students. Inter-ministerial teamwork was highlighted as the driving force behind this rollout.
Wadzanai High School also received some love during the same trip. The delegation dropped off fresh computers, printers, and a whiteboard alongside another Starlink kit. These donations aim to fix the lack of basic resources plaguing the province.
Leadership insists this push will equip the youth with essential skills for a technology-driven future. It marks the first facility of its kind in the district. Expanding digital infrastructure remains a core mandate for the Ministry of ICT as they attempt to modernize the education sector.
