Zimbabwe, Spain Strengthen Ties in Tourism and Agriculture Cooperation

Zimbabwe wants to team up more with Spain on farms and travel deals. Spanish Ambassador Isabel Bonilla visited President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House for her goodbye meeting. The pair talked about making their countries work together better. They met behind closed doors on Friday to discuss future plans. Both leaders agreed they could do much more together.

Bonilla told reporters she felt happy about what happened during her three years here. She said the two countries already had a strong friendship to build on. The ambassador pointed out that farms, travel, art, and schools were the main areas where they worked together. She believed both nations could achieve even more success. The meeting went really well and felt very friendly.

Spain and Zimbabwe became friends back in 1980 when the African country gained independence. The European nation has helped Zimbabwe fix its money problems and clear old debts. Spain also joined talks between Zimbabwe and the European Union. The partnership has grown to cover cultural swaps and student exchanges. These programs help people from both countries learn about each other better.
