Zimbabwean sangoma arrested for murder in Botswana with three others

Botswana authorities detained four individuals on murder charges after they appeared before Broadhurst Magistrate's Court on Friday. The suspects face accusations of killing Timothy Segola, a 58-year-old Motswana man, during an incident at Rahutshe lands near Gakutlo on June 5. Police arrested Stella Sibanda, a 50-year-old Zimbabwean traditional healer, along with three co-defendants. The other suspects are Malebogo Segola, 45, from Botswana, Alfred Gaseltslwe, 42, from Molepolole Village, and Maxwell Lucky Chirinda, a 22-year-old Zimbabwean national.

Court officials remanded all defendants until their next hearing scheduled for August 12. Investigators have not disclosed what motivated the alleged crime. The prosecution alleges the group worked together with shared intent when they committed the offense. Botswana Police Service confirmed the arrests through an official statement released the same day as the court appearance.
