Zimbabwean universities secure agri-innovation partnerships at RUFORUM

Zimbabwe came back from the RUFORUM Annual General Meeting in Gaborone feeling pretty good about itself after locking down some solid partnerships with other African universities. The summit brought together academic bigwigs and researchers to figure out how colleges can help fix the continent's food problems, and the Zimbabwean crew was apparently everywhere networking like crazy.

AI and agricultural tech were huge talking points at the conference, with Martha Chikowore from Africa University mentioning that schools like UNISA want to collaborate on their new Food Security and Sustainable Agri-foods Systems master's program. The Zimbabwean institutions think these connections will help them scale up their research game and contribute to making sure people across Africa have enough to eat.
