Zimbabweans Land UK E Passport Centre at Last

Zimbabwe builds a new passport office for its people living across the United Kingdom. The project joins the government's 100-day fast-track program that speeds up important work. Officials want to finish the center before the year ends. This becomes Zimbabwe's second passport office outside the country after South Africa opened one last year. Minister Kazembe Kazembe says his team will complete the UK center on schedule.

The new office uses modern technology to make passport processing safe and quick. Zimbabweans living far from home can apply for passports without traveling back to Zimbabwe. The government wants to help its citizens living abroad access important services easily. Officials plan to open similar centers where large groups of Zimbabweans live around the world. The passport program started three years ago and operates from 14 locations inside Zimbabwe.

Workers plan to add centers to two more cities and create an online system for passport applications. The online platform will make getting important documents much easier for everyone. People can apply for both passports and identity cards through the new digital system. Officials focus on making civic services more modern and accessible for citizens everywhere.
