The Zimbabwe National Army just graduated 174 new soldiers after they wrapped up three months of training at a base in Bulawayo, and the group was mostly women at 96 compared to 78 guys. Two people out of the original 176 recruits bailed before finishing the program that covered everything from shooting and map navigation to first aid and military law.
The ceremony got overseen by a major general who told the fresh graduates they had better stay disciplined since they represent a force that has deployed to help out in Mozambique, Somalia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He reminded them that their job is protecting the country's borders while following the constitution, and that the army does not mess around when it comes to people breaking rules.
