Zodwa Mkandla clarified her link to Luis. They met at a fashion show in Zambia last year. She said they share business plans, not romance.
"We became friends at the Lusaka July show. I love fashion, and we hit it off," she said. "We started some work deals together."
She wants people to know men and women can be friends. Many in Africa find this hard to accept, she noted. "He's a special friend to me."
The pair met again when Luis helped judge Miss Universe Zimbabwe. Zodwa had asked him to come. She said some people missed his visits here before. They went to events as friends and work partners.
