AMD has set a launch window for its FSR Redstone software package, which will introduce machine learning capabilities to the Radeon RX 9000 graphics card lineup. Jack Huynh, who serves as senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group, announced the release through social media channels.
The update represents a major advancement for the company's driver architecture and upscaling technology. Four core features will debut with the release: Neural Radiance Caching for improved global illumination efficiency, ML Ray Regeneration to reduce visual noise while maintaining performance, ML Super Resolution for image reconstruction, and ML Frame Generation to boost frame rates.
