Sydney Minsky Sargeant from Manchester dance-rock band Working Men's Club releases his first solo album in September. The musician created songs spanning his entire life from his teenage years in Todmorden. He draws inspiration from artists like Nick Drake, Bert Jansch, Bon Iver, Bill Callahan and Robert Kirby. His new sound blends downbeat acoustic elements with electronic pop reminiscent of Beta Band and Fontaines D.C. The lead single I Don't Wanna features the memorable line about loving something wrong but not wanting to be right.
