Engineer Busted for Pipe Theft in Water Scandal
Uganda's anti-corruption office ordered the National Water company to fire engineer Ijuka Norman for stealing pipes. Deputy Inspector General Patricia Achan Okiria signed the dismissal order on June 11. The engineer worked at the water company's Arua office and supervised the Odupi Water Project. He took 325 water pipes from the company warehouse without permission. The pipes were meant for water projects that serve local communities. Ijuka gave the stolen pipes to Riziki Construction Company instead of using them for their intended purpose. His actions hurt both his employer and the people who needed clean water access. The anti-corruption court found him guilty of abusing his office position. He agreed to pay a fine of 1.5 million...

Dynamos Execs Sink Club in Biggest Flop Ever
Dynamos decided to quit the Caf Confederation Cup because they lack money. Bernard Marriot leads the club poorly. Their main rivals Highlanders just received one million dollars from businessman Wicknell Chivayo. This shows how badly Dynamos manages its business compared to other teams. The club cannot plan ahead or think about the future. Last season Dynamos almost made it to the money-making group stages. They lost on penalties to Orapa United and missed out on four hundred thousand dollars. Good teams would have learned from that failure and worked harder to find sponsors. Dynamos did not do this and kept making the same mistakes over and over again. The team hurts its reputation when it pulls out of competitions. Sponsors do not...
Dynamos Pull Out of CAF Cup Over Money Woes
Dynamos football club pulled out of the 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup because they cannot afford the costs. The Zimbabwe team sits near the bottom of their domestic league after 14 games. Club leaders decided they lack the money and players needed for continental competition. Moses Maunganidze chairs the executive committee that made the difficult choice. The team wanted to avoid just making up numbers at the tournament. Zimbabwe has no CAF-approved stadium for hosting international matches. The National Sports Stadium remains banned from continental games due to poor conditions. Dynamos would need to play home games in other countries at huge expense. Last season the club traveled to Botswana for their preliminary round matches. They...

Head coach Pieter Benade credits forwards coach Joel Carew with major improvements to the squad. Carew joined the team before last year's Africa Cup and transformed their scrum performance. The Sables never moved backward during scrums at the previous tournament. Benade wanted someone experienced to lead the forward pack and make them competitive. Carew expressed surprise at Zimbabwe's talent level when he first joined the coaching staff. He told other coaches the team had enough skill to win the championship. The forwards show excellent ball-handling abilities and strong work habits during practice sessions. Carew and...
