"Mari haina mukuru," is a ChiShona saying which means regardless of whether you are an older brother, sister, cousin, etc, there is no respect that is obliged to you just because of seniority as far as age is concerned.

Quite frankly, the person who has money is also the one who has more options and can maneuver any scenario to whatever he or she finds it fit whether you like it or not.

If you object to their direction they can simply just withdraw from the scheduled program and fold their arms as they watch what you are gonna do about it. This is why money is often said to answer all things! Perhaps so...
